The Cotton Association of India (CAI) has marginally revised its estimate of the country's cotton crop for the 2024–25 season ending September 30 to 302.00 lakh bales of 170 kg each, from its earlier estimate of 305.00 lakh bales.
The revision factors in delayed rainfall in central India and pest damage reported across parts of Maharashtra and Telangana during the late season.
